Dr. Natasha Gallizzi, Pharm.D. has been the Pharmacist in Charge and Program Manager for the Wyoming Medication Donation Program since 2007. She is a trailblazer in the medication donation frontier, spearheading the development of the Wyoming Medication Donation Program which uses a novel approach in providing safety-net prescription access in a rural setting. Her state-wide program has connected over $16 million worth of unused medication with those in need through a network of over 30 donation sites and a mail-order pharmacy. The program has properly disposed of or re-distributed over 105,000 pounds of unused medication, preventing unnecessary environmental pollution. Her work in the Wyoming Department of Health earned the 2017 Bright Ideas in American Government Award, the 2014 University of Wyoming’s School of Pharmacy Preceptor of the Year, and 2010 Wyoming Pharmacy Association’s Innovative Pharmacist of the year.
